New Lifeline AutoAlert System

Lifeline recently launched a new service option – Philips Lifeline with AutoAlert. Appanoose Community Care Services is trying to decide if this would be a service that we should offer to our subscribers in Appanoose County.

The Lifeline Medical Alert Service has always offered prompt help at the push of a button. The latest innovation, Lifeline with AutoAlert, calls for help if a fall is detected even if an older adult can’t, won’t or forgets to press their Personal Help button. The Lifeline AutoAlert service option provides patients with an added layer of protection.

The Lifeline with AutoAlert option offers all the benefits of our original Lifeline service PLUS some new benefits:

• Multiple sensors support the accuracy of a true fall detection while minimizing false alarms.
• Intelligent Alarm designed to detect when a patient cannot get up from a fall on their own.
• Easy to wear AutoAlert Pendant is waterproof, and provides around-the-clock access to help – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

There are many benefits to offering this service but we need to find out if there is enough interest in this new service to purchase the new Lifeline machines and AutoAlert buttons. The cost would be approximately $45.00 per month vs. our current rate $30.00 per month for the standard lifeline.
