OUR MISSION

The ACCS assists families within their place of residence where illness or infirmity threaten to disrupt the household by providing them with services that are deemed necessary for the improvement of life for those individuals who are aged, disabled, or economically disadvantaged.

About Appanoose Community Care Services

We’re a private non-profit organization founded in 1964 when a group of dedicated community people recognized the need for an intermittent home care program. We first concentrated our efforts primarily with homemakers and home health aides in Appanoose County, but we have expanded as community needs have arisen to also offer Meals on Wheels, Lifelines, and the 18-80 club, a senior gathering place. Our agency works closely with Mercy Medical Center Home Care/Hospice, Public Health Nurses, Seneca Area Agency on Aging-Case Management, Department of Human Services, VA and accepts referrals from physicians, family members, other agencies or anyone needing assistance may refer themselves.
